To be admitted to a research-based PhD program, all applicants are requested to provide:

  • An M.A or M.Sc. degree from an accredited institution (at the time of registration).
  • A completed application form available at: http://kish.ut.ac.ir/en/ApplicationForm.
  • Scanned copy of two letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the applicant's educational capabilities.
  • To meet the language requirement, please provide a scanned copy of an English Language Certificate or a Persian Language Certificate, or a letter of verification from your previous educational institution confirming that the language of instruction throughout your degree program was either English or Persian.
  • A scanned copy of official transcripts translated into English.
  • A scanned copy of applicant´s Passport (International) / Identification card (Iranian).
  • A scanned copy of applicant's recent photograph.
  • kindly, upload your documents at (http://old.saorg.ir:8081/application.php ) and include the SAORG CODE along with other necessary documents.

    If you have previously registered at other universities in Iran, you must obtain an archive of your records in other universities to follow the admission procedures at UT- KISH

The original documents will be needed at the time of registration

Submitting the Documents

Iranian applicants who are currently studying abroad and wish to transfer to the University of Tehran Kish International Campus (UT-KIC) need to send their documents to the office of Educational Services at the University of Tehran. Important Notes:
PhD candidates in Research- based program need to:

  • Pass three or eight course Credits
  • Hold a valid English Language Proficiency Certificate before the comprehensive exam
  • Pass the Comprehensive exam
  • Develop a dissertation proposal which is approved based on the University regulations.
  • Publish two articles in a valid international scientific journal approved by the vice president for research affairs at the UT-KIC (for those who pass 8 course credits)
  • Publish three articles in a valid international scientific journal approved by the vice president for research affairs at UT-KIC. (for those who pass 3 course credits)
