Admission

The first step on your path to postgraduate study is finding the right course or research area. Once you have found the course you are interested in, follow these steps:

  • Complete the application form available at: http://kic.ut.ac.ir/Application From. Pdf.

 Make a scanned copy and submit it with the following documents:

  • A scanned copy of your B.A. / B.Sc. degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 14 out of 20 (2.8 out of 4.0) if you are applying for an M.A or M.Sc. degree.
  • A scanned copy of your B.A. / B.Sc. degree and your M.A/M.Sc. degree from the accredited institution(s) with a minimum GPA of 14 out of 20 (2.8 out of 4.0) if you are applying for a Ph.D. degree.
  • A scanned copy of official transcripts translated into English
  • A scanned copy of two recommendation letters to support student's application for admission
  • A scanned copy of applicant's passport (International applicants) or Identification card (Iranian applicants)
  • A scanned copy of your recent photograph

Admission Requirements

To be considered by the UT- KIC admission committee you will need to meet the general entry requirements as well as the specific entry requirements of your chosen program.

English Language Proficiency Requirements for the programs 

To be considered for admission, applicants must be comfortable with rapid and idiomatic spoken English. There are several ways to show that an applicant is proficient in English in his/her application.

  • - The applicant's native language is English.
  • - The language of instruction at his/her university has been English for the duration of the previous study.  
  • - The applicant earned one of the following English proficiency test scores:

UT- KIC has established an Intensive English preparatory program which will be run during Summer, 2018 both in Kish Island and Tehran for students who are qualified to be admitted for the degree program but their English Language skills fall below the minimum required scores. The Program is designed to increase the language skills of students and enable them to succeed in their studies.

The admission for any of the Master or Ph.D. degree programs requires succeeding in one of the above mentioned English proficiency tests.

Where this document refers to fees, this means fees which are due between September 1st and June 31st of the relevant academic year.

The regulations and associated fee tables given here are those that apply in 2018-19. For earlier years you need to refer to the regulations and fee tables for those years. The fee is normally based on the advertised fees at the starting date of the study, unless the student has taken a deliberate vacation from the study and returned afterward.
